Sippy is Growing

Hello Everyone We’ve been in business now for over 15 years and we have many users of our softswitch who have grown up with us. We continue to grow; our team is expanding through our adding of developer talent and more support team members. In late April, Sippy hired a new Front End developer to help us make changes to our interface. Some of the planned changes include improvements to monitoring graphs, and changes to login pages to help deliver simplicity of use with our new multi-factor authentication.

Sippy’s measures for supporting our customers during the Coronavirus It’s times like the ones we are living currently that make our technology critical to keep the economy and people’s lives running as normally as possible. It is technology like ours that allows people to keep connecting and to keep working. These services are critical for communication of information and keeping remote teams active in these difficult times, and eventually overcome the challenges that we face.

Sippy 2020 Teaser

Hello Everyone! Many of you have been patiently awaiting our Sippy 5.3 Release. Unfortunately that release will never come out. Don’t panic, a new, improved version will be released but under a new name. We are renaming our upcoming version and going forward we will use a new naming format. Our new version will become known as “Sippy 2020”. In preparation for the release of Sippy 2020, we wanted to highlight just some of the upcoming changes we’ll have made available for our next release cycle.

End of Life - Sippy Softswitch v4.4

Hello Everyone, Posted on November 15th, 2019 In September 2015 Sippy Software released v4.4 of our software. In the 4 years since, we have released 3 new versions on our 5.X platform. Over the 4 years, many of our customers have upgraded to the v5.2 version. Starting today our Sippy Softswitch version 4.4 will reach end of life. Moving forward, customers running v4.4 or v4.5 will no longer be eligible for free upgrades to any of the supported versions (v5.

Changes to Lets Encrypt API

Hello Everyone! In April of 2018 we integrates a new API system from Let’s Encrypt for generating SSL certificates as part of our Sippy Softswitch Version 5.1. This change allowed for switch operators to create and store a SSL certificate for their softswitch improving operational security. Leveraging the API methods offered by Let’s Encrypt we have been able to provide switch operators with SSL certificates for their softswitch at no cost keeping them secure from malicious attacks.

New Hosted Data Center Location

To continue to offer the exceptional level of service, IBM is deploying new data center locations that employ the latest security, redundancy, and backbone connectivity with multiple fiber interconnections. As a result some of our hosted customers will be migrated over to the new data center and deployed on newer and more powerful servers.

Open Source Telecom Software project Survey At Sippy Software we believe in the development of Open Source Projects. Our development team contributes to a number of key Open Source Projects in the telco space. Our product wouldn’t be what it is without community development into Open Source projects like nathelper, RTPProxy, SippyB2BUA, mod_python, RTP_Cluster, voiptests, Go B2BUA and Go RTP Cluster. We are deeply interested to find out what other Open Source Projects are utilized across our industry.

(“Sippy Software”) are pleased to announce their continued cooperation to deliver carrier-class voice routing, rating and billing solutions for the wholesale, retail and call center providers. The combined technology platform, capable of providing cloud and physical infrastructure solutions, will be jointly presented existing and prospective clients at the International Telecommunications Week show in Atlanta Georga (June 23rd to June 26th).

Sippy SoftSwitch v5.2 Release Notes

Hello Everyone, Sippy Software Inc is happy to announce our 5.2 release is now moved to Production release. We have been working hard over the last few months to put together this release and are happy to preview some of our changes. Our final release may include more items than described here as we wrap up our development cycle. Here are the changes we have in plan for 5.2 at this point.

End of Support - Sippy Softswitch v4.5

On May 17th, 2016 Sippy Software released our the 4.5 version of our software. In those two years we have since released our 5.X platform. Since that time many of our customers have upgraded to our 5.0 version or to our latest published release 5.1. In the coming months we will no longer be offering active support or critical updates for our 4.5 versions of our software. End of support will come with the official release of our 5.
